A Short Poem: 'Firmament'.

firmament /ˈfəːməm(ə)nt/ noun. LITERARY

the heavens or sky.

Drift, dwale within, we are nubivagant, aeronauts.

Ubiquitous, yet multifarious, byzantine. Protects, solar flares, an onion skin, encapsulating, delicate avenger. Vital. Respire.

Dawn. An empyrean promise, crisp aubade to the earth. Skogafoss fall. Embrace, tumble and refresh.

Midday. Incan sun, Apu-punchau, spine of the Americas, Puelche meets Garua, craft, shape, mould vapor. Blue shines and clouds morph. Same beams burn sand dunes, scorch Sahara. Trade winds globe-trot . Sirocco and Calima. Heliophilia.

Afternoon, Brittany, moody, mercurial. Ragged rock and lush fern, ocean and cloud, a lover's passionate quarrel. Storm. Electric. Rhythmic, Curl and unfurl, Cumulonimbus.

Sunset, Uttar Pradesh. Taj Mahal. Mughal mausoleum. Dusk. Purple hues, the emperor's paintbrush strokes stratosphere, cirrus.

Night. New Mexico. Socorro is stelliferous, stars pepper the cosmos, celestially seasoned. Constellations confectioned.

Drift, again, till tomorrow.
