Reflections, post-Morocco.

Morocco left my eyes drunk and my heart nourished.

Before we went, the most common reaction we received was ‘really? But isn’t it dangerous there?’

The short answer is no, or not more than anywhere else. I was happy to discover a welcoming culture and warm, warm people. Of course, this reflects only my personal experience, but in truth I’ve found that wherever you venture on this earth, you will most likely meet those who wish to feed, clothe and welcome you with open hearts and arms, as well as those who want to take advantage of you. That’s not a Moroccan thing, it’s a human thing.

So sure, be wise, but allow space for the mystery of the encounter, of the unexpected connection, for surely to travel is to sample these billion facets of the human temperament.
