A surprise: the lack of jay-walking, Barcelonians seem extremely respectful of traffic lights. I stood out as a foreign law- flouting road-crosser.

Some aromas: fried sustenance. Piss. Lots of Mary Jane floating her way across the neighbourhoods.

Some sights: tiles and shades of plaster. Bold street murals. Warm earthy hues. Colours and proudly waving flags, small, everyday explosions of life in the bustling capital of Catalunya.
