Some memories from summer 2023 in Delhi. I’ve been digging through my camera roll and came across these moments of joy from the capital of Hindustan. I am itching to go back.
1 & 2. Doorways and thresholds which have seen thousands of secrets unravelled through the ages. Red Fort, Delhi.

3. Cheeky monkey eats chapati (and I’m not referring to myself here).

4 & 5. Delhi’s bovine beauties, featuring a very happy man selling lady’s fingers.

6. ‘India says no to drugs.’

7. This auto rickshaw interior was kind enough to match the tones of my trousers, making for a pleasing photo colour palette.

8. Paharganj at dusk.

9. My railway home, the Howrah Express, which ferried me from Uttar Pradesh to West Bengal (nowhere near Delhi but I wanted to include this photo🤭)

10. I was told I resembled this Anglo-Indian Bollywood star from the 1980s. I haven’t quite caught up to her level of style but I’ll take the compliment. Thanks, Mandakini.

11. This cheery chap asked how I was and proceeded to proclaim that he was fine, without waiting for my response.
