My friend assured me this is the oldest and indisputable maharaja of the Jalebi, Delhi’s OG Jalebi wala if you will. Upon some research, I found out that Chandi Chowk’s ‘Old Famous Jalebi Wala’ has been serving up these sugary spirals freshly fried in pure desi ghee since 1884.
I must confess it was the freshest, doughiest and crunchiest I’ve had so far, and as it happens, I have consumed many, maybe too many, jalebis in my lifetime 😉
